Night falling on The Cove

Oh my. This is one of those scenes that to me can only be seen in the ocean or on it. Way out in the middle of the Pacific, half way between Honolulu and Yokohama, I have seen the whole horizon covered with clouds like this that come all the way from the horizon over to where I was on the ship and then reaching so high in the sky it was incredible. Like your picture.

Magical clouds, looks like something was brewing up. Did it result in a downpour?

Someone has used a Stanley knife on your clouds, Jacob!

Smashing image!

@ Julie - What is a "Stanley" knife? (Please excuse my ignorance!) Is it one of those painter's knives that artists in oils use?

I absolutely love the composition and framing on this one! Fantastic clouds too!

Interesting looking clouds, like someone cut them out so the blue could show thru.

Are you sure you didn't paint this??? It is so amazing.

We are all the time saying if someone saw skies painted the way we see them, people wouldn't think they were real.

Gorgeous clouds. You can see all of the layers against each other, and I want to touch them! They almost look solid in a way near the top. Nice!

Gorgeous sky and what a terrific location. Hang out on your balcony. Think of the sky and sunset shots from that condo. A year-round show.
