Cedar Key Bayou

It had been raining most of the morning. The clammers weren't working, according to the young man on the pier to the right. When it rains, the clams head to the bottom where they cannot be caught.

Just like humans they don't want to be caught in the rain.

Interesting. I didn't think clams were that smart.

Happy as a clam at high tide---same applies here.
I would be a little leery about walking around those piers. MB

Those clams have the right idea!

Interesting fact. I wonder why? I'd assume a lot of creatures like that would have a field day with silt and sediment being moved around by rainwater and runoff. Everyone loves an easy meal.

This is a nice "local color" photo, Jacob. What will I do with Susie gone? Well, ever since she left for college almost ten years ago, we have had to get used to visits measured in 36 to 72 hour increments. I'm thankful for Skype.
