The Black Dog Bar and Tables

The Black Dog is a relatively new business on the dock, operated by Connie Coleman and her husband. It is, as advertised, a wine, beer and cigar bistro. There's a nice bar inside as well as tables, and tables on both a front and rear deck. The second photo shows patrons keeping their spirits up on the rear deck which overlooks the water.

More info available here.

This looks like a real nice place, Jack. I could use a nice cigar and a beer outdoors right now.

Cigars? Allowed to smoke?

The Black Dog sounds a bit like a pub name!

It seems to me that it was a great place to hang around together for a while.

Thank you for your kind comments, dear friend!

I like the expression of people in the last picture, as they were concentrated in something...maybe the "magic"effect of this paradise , no stress in their lives!
Cool place there!
Hmmm...I would love to visit but I don't like the smoke!:)

We have a local place called the Black Dog Cafe in Tallahassee. I would like everything here except the cigars!

I don't know why I called you Jack, Jacob. My mistake! I still do love the photo though!

I love the Black Dog! Connie & Jay (and Otis - the bar's namesake) are wonderful hosts, they have a fantastic beer selection, and the atmosphere is fabulous. Oh - and great views from the wrap around deck too! You can see the dolphins swimming in the channel in the evenings.

The Black Dog is a fantastick bar/pub/bistro. The cigars are great and just ads to the charm, and the beer selection rocks!

I was in Cedar Key last year and I plan on going back this summer and frequent Black Dog once again :-)

Here's my blog post from Cedar Key on the last visit.
