New construction and Cedar Key Water Tower

This is a relatively new, very nice, home located on the water (back bay).

That bit on the end looks like an elevator shaft.

What Barb sees as an elevator shaft, I liked immediately. My kind of place to enjoy the outdoors — still sheltered. ;)

About our weather (sorry, this will be long):
Yup, typhoon Megi (Juan, here) just ripped through our northern provinces over the weekend. Only its edges touched Manila so it wasn't bad for us though. Thankfully, the provincial governments were well-prepared and there was minimal loss of life — 19 as of an hour ago, and as callous as it sounds, for us that's a low count considering the strength of Megi's winds. The damage to homes, infrastructure and rice fields is pretty bad though. The Jesuits and the university's social groups are already gearing up to send aid asap, and I'm sure others are mobilizing too. The problem is, there looks to be another possible storm forming that will enter the Philippines this weekend. I'm hoping that it will fizzle out over the Pacific Ocean before it reaches us.

Not bad, looks like an Italian church though. I mean, the tower.

Like the clean modern lines. Interesting how we all see differently...great, isn't it?

I would love to be sitting up there in that tower drinking coffee and just admiring the view!

I don't know if it looks gawdy or Key Westish.
