These sunsets over the water shots you take are as close to perfection as I've ever seen. Man!

"Wind balance sheets of palm trees
Wind ripples the waves of the ocean
Wind playing with the hair of brown girl,
Bring good news from there...

Wind that whistles in the roof
Calling to the moon spying the lovers
Wind at the edge of the beach there
He listened to my love to sing...

Today I am alone and you too
Sad, but remembering my love

Wind say, please
Where hid my love
Wind say, please
Where hid my love..."

This is a beautiful Brazilian song, from the Folklore, the authors are: Gilvan Chaves / Alcyr Pires Vermelho / Fernando Luiz Câmara
The name is "Pray for the wind"
I remember now this song that I knew in my 17's when I was only a student at the College of Fine Arts.I have a subject of Folk music in that year.ohhh time goes so fast, I think today I'm in a nostalgic mood here! :)
And all this is about your beautiful picture!
Can you see how much your pictures inspire good and perfect feelings?
Thanks so much dear friends!
Hugs
Léia

Och, look at that little wave... So inviting... I'm sure that if I just twiddle my toes in there I'll see the gator coming, right? ;-)

This must be winter light. It has a cooler feel to it. More pensive.

It's wonderful and yet weird seeing photos with sunshine, sea and no snow at this time of year... we're surrounded by ice, a bit of snow and sun that has zero warming effect.

@ Ciel - No, silly! You would have to worry about a Gator taking off your toes. Not here, anyway. Well, maybe a saltwater gator. Nah, I've only seen those down on Sanibel Island.

Lowell said...

@ Ciel - I mean to say you "wouldn't have to worry" ... not awake yet!

Oh my, that's beautiful. the sunset colored light sparkling on the water - makes me want to drop everything here & run down there just to see it in person! it isn't that beautiful here for some reason, maybe cuz of the ocean? hmmm!

@ Cezar and Leia - What beautiful lyrics! Perfect for this photo! Thank you so much. Folk songs are the songs of the people and the culture...and they reflect the dreams and longings and fears of the people and the culture.

And yes, time goes by much too fast! Looking back, my life is a blur and I'm not sure how I got to this place so damn quickly!

Lowell said...

@ Don and Krise - Sheesh, now I'm blushing! But you did make my day!

I "visited" a bunch of birds today gathering around an ice-free spot on a small lake. I bet they wouldn't mind a quick migration to this venue. You know, just for the weekend.
