Ready to sail away

The buildings on the right are condo/rentals, I believe. This would be a great place for a family vacation.

Yeah, A perfect getaway I bet. I love the blue waters.

It looks wonderful. Are those places up on stilts because of tides?

Hmmm. Yes lovely... but... I guess it gets real crowded real fast, huh?

CQ - Cedar Key can get crowded at certain times of the year - in the fall, especially, when they host art shows...but I don't think I've ever seen this particular area jammed up.

Actually, Brattcat...yes, in a sense. They are on stilts mainly because of hurricanes. A high tide and a hurricane is especially bad news for people who live on the water...so they build up where the water can wash underneath and it works unless the water is too high. In that case, like in Galveston last year, everything goes!

My dream retirement home! Sigh. I really hope we can find beachfront property that's not too expensive.
