Off the beaten track in Cedar Key

Actually, this house is close to town...but off on a side road that leads to the marshes. I can't go by without taking a photo because it is very interesting. There are signs, however, that strangers are not welcome.

The camera lens loves this sort of homestead doesn't it? There's so much so see. And that beautifully saturated red roof is picked up in little variations on red throughout the photo. And what a fascinating sky.

Great and very colorful image, Jacob.
Such odds and ends of junk has a magic attraction for photographers... and guys to dig around.

There are houses like this all over America. I know of a lot of them in southern Ohio and that is like redneck country. You are welcome if you don't mess up. And there are some in the hills and hollows of West Virginia and don't mess around there with a camera unless you are brought there by somebody who knows the community. I really enjoyed this photo as it reminds me of places I have been and seen and some of my relatives live in houses just like that.

It looks like a house out of a road movie. Makes you want to know what's in there.
