Cedar Key is a small fishing village that juts out into the Gulf of Mexico on the west coast of Florida. This photo shows the harbor area between the mainland and the dock area, the latter being a semi-circular area with fishing pier, restaurants, and numerous shops.
Over the years, hurricanes have wreaked havoc in Cedar Key, but the town is resilient and has bounced back. The famous fishing pier was taken out in the last hurricane but is currently being rebuilt bigger and stronger.
