Glad to hear it, but I fear it is just a matter of time. And hurricane season right around the corner. A news report today indicated that tar balls were found on Dauphin Island, AL and the Mississippi coast.

FYI, thanks for you kind comments about my improving photography skills and my little Chica with OCD. We need all the help we can get.

Hope they stay clear!

Let's hope not. I think I will stick my head in the sand and not know what is going on. MB

Good. Here's hoping it stays that way.

Good news, I'm very concerned about all this oil inside the water...

Fingers crossed! I hate seeing the oil anywhere, whether it's washing ashore or coating reefs, animals, sand or grass.

Looks like it may be closing in on Pensacola Beach today though.

This is something I wanted to ask you and now you just give me the answer! Glad to know that but I can't believe BP was not able to find a solution yet! It's awful!

My favorite places to go in Florida are going to be ruined by the horrible response to this spill. I sure hope I'm wrong.

Very pretty--that's a relief!

Very happy to see this, but it's tough to be optimistic about the situation. I'm planning a trip to CK very soon (sooner than originally planned because I fear what the oil will do to the town's ecology and economy). News this morning is not just of the oil, but the toxic chemical cloud that BP pumped into the water - a 12 miles large area beneath the surface. I think the news said it was west and south west of the leak, so thankfully not near CK. Apparently no one knows what those chemical will do to the wildlife and sea creatures.

I am planning a trip for my to cedar key the first weekend of aug. , we should still be in the clear of the oil right??

@ Bee - I think you'll be fine the first week in August. The oil may miss Cedar Key entirely -- we hope, we hope, we hope! Or not. But so far, CK is in the clear.
