Sculpture - Cedar Key style

If one is going to fashion a sculpture relevant to Cedar Key, nothing is more relevant than a fisherman. This sculpture stands next to a gift shop along Main Street. I find it quirky, humorous, even. There's a slight problem, of course: The fish is coming out of the ground. I guess it is necessary to engage one's imagination.

A Cedar Key landmark (seamark?)

This pier and the old shack off to the port side are Cedar Key icons. Weathered and beaten from numerous storms, they still stand. More or less.

University of Florida dock

The University of Florida has its own dock and marine equipment in Cedar Key. I would guess it is to further enhance marine research done by the university. I've never seen much activity here and the dock as you can see is kept under lock and key.
