Passage to little ol' red "Cracker House"

The passageway leads to an old Florida cracker house on the grounds of the Cedar Key museum.

The theme for March 1 is "Passageways." Click here to view thumbnails for all participants

A lovely photo, Jacob an excellent choice for today's theme. I think of passageways as being dark but yours is clever with its colour and green countryside.
I've always loved winding paths - much better than straight ones, it makes you wonder what is at the end.
Cheers.

Following the comment above of J Bar, Rochester has lots of crack houses... some are little, some are red, but none is safe to photograph this closely. This is lovely and secluded. Any vacancy?

What a pretty little cottage! And the brick path matches it so wonderfully.

Uh, but what's a cracker house?

Okay, I have to ask too: what's a cracker house?

Whatever it may be, I can imagine sipping a cool coke and eating Carr's crackers on the porch...

@ Ciel & all - Thanks very much for your comments! Here's a link re: Florida cracker houses. They are cool, I think, and more and more replicas are being built all the time.

I would love this little house...I love the curved path leading to it and I love red.

Hopefully it keeps everyone from stomping on the nice green grass!

Ah, this is delightful! I didn't know about "cracker houses." I've been spending so much time working and blogging, I haven't gotten around to view, read, and comment as much as I'd like. I do appreciate your faithful :) visits.
