A Cedar Key landmark (seamark?)

This pier and the old shack off to the port side are Cedar Key icons. Weathered and beaten from numerous storms, they still stand. More or less.

That's an interesting landmark! What was the shack used for?

That pier is like a beautiful, leggy old girl. She still has plenty of class and mystery.

you took the picture from the water?

@ Weston - No...there's a bridge that goes across to the dock area...we were in the middle of the bridge.

@ Hilda - I think it was just an fishing shack...but am not sure. It's been all torn up for years and years. But, because it's an icon, it stays out in the water.

Can you still walk on it? I mean, without falling through?

@ Ciel - I don't know; haven't tried it. Doesn't look like it's being used much, if at all, however.
